There is an increased expectation for early learning teachers to engage in the process of pedagogical documentation as influenced by the Reggio Emilia Appraoch. This session will focus on understanding what is pedagogical documentation as not all documentation is pedagogical. Accepting the gift of time in the complex process of making learning visible is vital to the creation of meaningful documentation that supports curriculum development. Participants will have an opportunity to engage in documentation using the framework of what, so what and now what? The session will end with our own documentation gallery and an opportunity to view, interpret and support others in the progression to become pedagogical documenters.
